Hi, I’m Monica— Mother, Author, Speaker, Founder of Welbing Postnatal House.

I'm a mother of two, and I know firsthand how overwhelming the postpartum period can be. People showed up for me after I had my girls. Casseroles, visits, someone always offering to hold the baby. And I still had postpartum anxiety. Twice.

Love was present, but knowledge wasn't. The people around me cared; they just didn't know what postpartum recovery actually requires. That gap is where Welbing came from the first in San Antonio, Tx.

Every person who has ever lived arrived here the same way, inside a mother's body. There is no other vehicle. Welbing is my answer to that.

Before founding Welbing, I spent 33 years as a licensed cosmetologist and 18 as a curl specialist. I brought that same belief in trust-based care to maternal wellness: every mama deserves one place, with people who already know what she needs.

Most people call me Monica. Harmonica is my full name, and the one you'll find on my book.

My mission is simple: help mothers and families not just survive the early days of parenthood, but truly thrive in them..

Where does the term “Welbing” come from?

Our name is intentionally spelled to honor its Korean roots. Postnatal retreats in South Korea emphasize gentle care, rest, and holistic healing — a philosophy we carry into every service we offer. The name reflects the warmth, balance, and thoughtful attention that mothers deserve during one of life’s most transformative moments.
